Lily Rose Fine is a British/Canadian painter. Interested in our human need for meaning, she examines what devotion looks like in a modern context, through platonic intimacy, memorabilia, and art making as an attempt at an afterlife. Combining portraits of herself and those close to her with a a collected language of iconography inspired by relics, antique objects, cinema, theatre, and art history, she examines the threshold between reality and spectrality, public and private life, divulgence and secrets.
